Dual Diagnosis Treatment at Live Free Behavioral Health

We work with adults experiencing two or more mental health conditions, whether it’s anxiety and depression, trauma and OCD, or a combination that includes substance use. Instead of treating symptoms in isolation, our care model looks at how your conditions interact and helps you move forward with clarity and stability.

What Is Dual Diagnosis?

Dual diagnosis means living with more than one diagnosable condition at once. This could involve two mental health disorders (like PTSD and OCD), or a mental health condition alongside a substance use disorder, like bipolar disorder and opioid addiction. These conditions often overlap and influence each other, so treating them together is essential for healing.

This place is awesome! The staff is great! They’re caring, compassionate, and empathetic. They treat each resident individually to meet each of their needs. 24 hr nursing staff helps with each residents detox needs. They also help with after care plans and placement back into the community. Peers also are very supportive to eachother, I highly recommend live free recovery to anyone looking for help with addiction.

FAQs About Dual Diagnosis and Co-Occurring Disorders

What does dual diagnosis mean in mental health?

In mental health care, dual diagnosis refers to having two co-occurring mental health conditions. It’s common and treatable with the right approach.

The best treatment uses an integrated model. Conditions are addressed at the same time using therapy, medical support, and holistic care.

A dual diagnosis center is a rehab facility that offers treatment for people with a combination of multiple mental health conditions and/or addiction at the same time.

Integrated treatment combines therapies for mental illness and addiction into one program, so patients don’t have to care for one issue while ignoring the other.

Studies show that addressing both conditions at once leads to better symptom relief, fewer relapses, and stronger long-term outcomes.
